Project summary

Edwardian Elegance is an elegant new Arts & Crafts style garden to compliment a refurbished family home in the Surrey Hills.

The garden consists of formal lawns and terraces, tree lined walks and water features, a screened tennis court and a ‘thunder house’ as described by Gertrude Jekyll in her seminal work ‘Gardens for Small Country Houses’.  The formal gardens sit to the south of the house in an open woodland glade and the structure is softened with Jekyll-style herbaceous plantings.

Norney Wood is occasionally open to the public through the Surrey Gardens Trust or under the Yellow Book Scheme.
